Carolin: Brandstorm as your path to an internship 🌟
“My journey with L’Oréal started in March 2019 when I participated in the Brandstorm competition. Two of my fellow students and I spend three unforgettable days while developing an innovative idea for the apothecary skincare market.
During that time, I already realized that every employee at L’Oréal was very open-minded, helpful and passionate when talking about L’Oréal. I also had the feeling that I came into a company that understands itself as one big family in which everybody knows each other. After this first professional contact, I knew that I wanted to experience this atmosphere by myself and become a part of the L’Oréal family.
For this purpose, I applied for an internship and started in March 2020 as an intern in the Brand Communication team for Kiehl’s.
Since then, I am responsible for the Instagram account of Kiehl’s Germany. Together with our agency, I plan and create our postings and stories. Moreover, I am in contact with our different influencers regarding corporations and send-outs of products. What I like most about my work is the creativity and variety. Right from the beginning, I got a lot of responsibility, allowing me to bring in my own ideas and to realize my visions 💡.
Due to the current challenging Covid-19 situation, I was only able to spend two weeks in the J1 in DĂĽsseldorf. However, I have the feeling that I know my team members as well as some interns quite well. Virtual meetings replace personal business meetings and exchanges as well as intern get-togethers in the evening.
Therefore, I already have the feeling of being a part of the L’Oreal family ❤️ I am looking forward to the next months of my internship, to grow personally, to improve my skills and especially working with my team members in order to develop innovative and creative ideas for our Social Media brand communication.”
