Golden reasons why Yannick appreciate his internship? Learning curve, joy, motivation…
Since I have been in contact with recruiters as well as former interns and employees already during my Bachelor studies, I was curious to explore the world of L’Oréal on the frontline. Starting my journey as an intern in Key Account Management here in January 2020, I can wholeheartedly say that the positive opinion of L’Oréal among students is absolutely justified.

Personally, I am part of the Sales Team for the largest and highest-turnover key account in the German cosmetics market. Ever since the first day of my internship, I not only felt as a part of the community and team, but even more important people approached me the same way as any other employee in the office, always helpful, engaged and cheerful.
Within my team, I am responsible for the analytical reporting and monitoring of both our own brands in the market, as well as for competitor brands to deliver a complete overview of the current market situation. In my position, I experienced not only challenges on a daily basis but even more the incomparable network you build within the company. Because I had to work cross-functional on many of my projects, I got to know a large array of people from different departments such as Marketing, Controlling or Category Management.
Thereto connected, the principle of networking serves as the core and the DNA of L’Oréal’s philosophy. By working on cross-functional tasks, everyone is bound to build a personal network, which in a way creates a large community, professionally and personally. Accordingly, since L’Oréal operates in such a fast-paced industry and environment, these networks among the employees allow the company to transform new business ideas into successful projects and react lightning fast to current market situations.
This is exactly the culture I experienced as an intern.
The integration into the whole community as well as among the interns ensures that I enter the office every day with a huge amount of joy and motivation.
I could not have imagined that I would experience such a strong learning curve in such a short period while at the same time having a lot of fun in the office corridors. Therefore, I look forward to my further time here at L’Oréal Germany with great joy and optimism aspiring for new projects and experiences.
